Michael Chien and Martin Chien were found on a passenger list, dated 26 April 1841, at Boston, Massachusetts, USA. They were passengers aboard the James H Shepherd, out of Liverpool. Martin was 27 years old and Mich, 20. Both were laborers, natives of Ireland and intending to stay in the United States. Martin and Mich/Michael were probably closely related.1
