Elizabeth was listed as 40 years of age and born in Glen Islay Parish, Perth.. Charles was listed as 39 years of age and born in Oyne Parish, Aberdeen.3

Also present were his children, James Cheyne, William Cheyne, George Cheyne and John Cheyne. Charles was listed as 48 years of age and born in Oyne Parish, Aberdeen.4

An unknown person was named the father and next of kin of James Cheyne, on his enlistment papers into the Canadian military, dated 11 January 1914. He was listed as C. Cheyne residing at Millbuies, Longmorn, Elgin.5

Charles Cheyne,residing at Mulbuis, Longmorn, Elgin were named as the parents of John Thomas Cheyne, who died in action, on 17 May 1915 and was memorized at the Le Touret Memorial, near Bethune, France; during World War I.6
