     Helen Lindsay was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 3 December 1852, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 475: [This entry was placed in the register considerably after the fact and with one other entry of the same family.] "1852 December 3rd Henry (crossed out) Andrew Lindsay (1018), Seaman, in Peterhead and Margaret Cheyne (997), his wife, had a daughter born, baptized and named Helen (1020) .”.1

Helen Lindsay and Andrew Lindsay were listed as children in the household of Margaret Lindsay on the 1861 Scotland Census, at 18 Commerce Street, in Aberdeen, Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. She was 8 years old, born in Peterhead Parish and a scholar.2
