     Alexander Lindsay was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 1 July 1850, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 475: [This entry was placed in the register considerably after the fact and with one other entry of the same family.] "1850 July 1st Henry (crossed out) Andrew Lindsay (1018), Seaman, in Peterhead and Margaret Cheyne (997), his wife, had a son born, baptized and named Alexander (1019).”.1

Alexander Lindsay was found in the household of Margaret Lindsay and listed as their son on the 1851 Scotland Census at Rose Street, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was 9 months of age and born in Peterhead Parish.2
