The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 198, "August 7th (1843) Thomas Cheyne (993), Seaman in Peterhead had a daughter, born 27th July, baptized and named Elizabeth McWilliam (1004), before Will'm Mess & Tho's Cheyne (986).”.1
