Elizabeth McWilliam Cheyne was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 7 August 1843, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 198, "August 7th (1843) Thomas Cheyne (993), Seaman in Peterhead had a daughter, born 27th July, baptized and named Elizabeth McWilliam (1004), before Will'm Mess & Tho's Cheyne (986).”.1

The marriage ceremony was officiated by James (could not read his surname, but probably Stewart). Witnesses were John Youngson and James Cheyne (1005), her older brother. Her parents were confirmed to have been as herein recorded.4

Elizabeth M. Chaddock and her husband, John James Chaddock, were listed on the 1881 British Census, at 2 Saint Mary Street, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. They were listed as the head of household and wife. Also present listed as their children were, Andrew Rutherford Chaddock, Alexander Barrowman Chaddock, Samuel Edward Chaddock, Thomas Cheyne Chaddock and John James Chaddock.6
