First mentioned as the wife of Abraham Dutoit at a baptism in 1603. She is cited as the widow of Abraham Dutoit as late as 1645, and about a year later a child of Abraham Dutoit and Pernon Veyre is baptised, thus proving that Pernon the widow is not Pernon Veyre, and that there are two Abraham's with wives named Pernon. It seems likely that several of her children have been missed. A document concerning her grandson Baltazard Crausaz (14 jul 1691, Isaac Dutoit, notary at Moudon, ACV DL 37/3) mentions his grandmother "Pernon Clerq", which, if it really pertains to his maternal grandmother, might be interpreted in two ways: Clerq could either be the actual surname, or it could be a reference to Dutoit dit au Clerc. This possibility needs to be explored further. The matter may have come before the cour de justice of Chavannes, whose records from about 1680 to 1700 are mentioned in the inventory of the ACV.
