Harry Somers Dies; Funeral Set Monday

Tolono—Harry K. Somers, 69, Route 2, Champaign, died at 8:10 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 14, 1967) at Burnham City Hospital, Champaign.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Presbyterian Church, Tolono, with Rev. Donald McNamara officiating. Burial will be in the GAR Cemetery, Homer, Graveside Masonic rites will be performed.

Friends may call at the Toney Funeral Home, Tolono, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

He was born March 8, 1897 at Urbana, son of Samuel R. and Effie Harry Somers. He married Edna Hamill on Feb. 27, 1930 at Kentland, Ind.

Surviving are his wife, one son, LeeBert of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one brother, Ralph of rural Champaign; one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Baker of Springfield; and one aunt, Mrs. Ethel Smth of rural Urbana.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF&AM No. 391 of Tolono and had farmed in the area until retiring in 1966.
