Jacobus “Ormer” was taxed in Schuylkill (later Coventry) District, Chester, Pennsylvania in 1720. Jacob “Arner” owned 100 acres in Hanover (now Pottsgrove) and paid quit-rent prior to 1734. He was recorded as Jacob Ornar with 100 acres in 1734 His farm was one mile northeast of Pottstown borough.557
