Champaign—Memorial services for Margaret “Margie” Veach, 69, of 701 Higgins Road, C, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community United Church of Christ, 805 S. Sixth St., C. The Rev. Jennifer Little will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date.

There will be no visitation. Heath & Vaughn Funeral Home, Champaign, is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Veach died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday (June 6, 2000) at home.

She was born June 9, 1930, in Urbana, a daughter of Malcolm S. and Myrtle Stewart Edwards. She married Ronald E. Veach on Sept. 24, 1949, in Champaign. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother of Champaign; two daughters, Marcia Haill of Tijeras, N.M., and Karen Chalverus of Albuquerque, N.M.; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Veach graduated from University High School in Urbana and the University of Illinois. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hope Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Community United Church of Christ and the Welcome Club and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Her interests included traveling and camping.
