Came to the colonies aboard the Elizabeth and Ann in May of 1635 at the age of 23. He settled at Duxbury, Massachusetts where he appeared before the courts on 12 Mar 1638. He was a also a juryman that same year. He owned a mill with George Pollard in Duxbury. William finally settled at Hingham, Massachusetts.
