He was elected constable 1693, surveyor of highways for Monatiquot 1694, also tithingman 1694, 1698, 1702, surveyor 1704, tithingman 1705, 1707, 1711, 1713, 1714, 1715, sealer of weights & measures 1723. He resided west of Washington Street, Braintree, close to the Quincy town line. He served in King Philip’s War.
