Graduated in Yale ca 1770. He is credited with founding the college in Leyden, NY.
A letter dated North Franklin, 14th April 1820, from Samuel Rudd to his daughter, Cornelia Ann, was sent while he was staying “at your Uncle Tracy’s” (Samuel’s brother-in-law) in Franklin.
