Misc. Notes
Of Frederick’s two youngest daughters we have found no information about Esther, and very little about Frances or Franey. As noted previously their mother conveyed a lot in Martinsburg to Frances in 1840. In 1846 Frany Hartle was taxed on a house and lot in Martinsburg plus a cow and also paid tax on her occupation, however the type of occupation was not stated [Blair Co. 1846 Tax Records, North Woodberry Twp, Blair County Genealogical Society Library, Hollidaysburg, PA]. She may have later married a Rhodes, as next to the graves of John and Margaret in Spring Hope Cemetery is a tombstone, hardly legible, for Frances Rhodes, died July 16, 1875, aged 71 years 11 mo 17 days [the name and part of the date were discernable only by making a rubbing, but a card filed at the Martinsburg Library had a complete date and age].66
