Barbara married Samuel Rhodes probably around 1807. In her father’s will his name is spelled Roades. The German spelling was Roth, but the name has subsequently been spelled Rhodes. Barbara named her first born Frederick Hartle Rhodes in 1808. He married Barbara E. Shives [Liebegott Collection, Vol. 178, p. 157]. Their other children were Samuel, John and Jacob (m. Elizabeth Cresher [Bob Manning, “A fine Family,” WorldConnect Project, www. rootsweb.com, updated 6 Feb 2001]). They lived in Huston Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. Barbara died on 17 December 1860, and Samuel died 14 November 1865. They were buried in the Clapper Cemetery at Clappertown [Liebegott Collection, Vol. 178, p. 157].66
