Listed as voting in a Hanover, New Hampshire 1781 Town Meeting: “Voted the Hogs shall not run at Large the ensuing year. Voted and chose Gideon Rudd Ebenezer Kendrick and nathaniel Lord Hogreaves.” [Hogreaves - animal control officers]

“...Thomas Baxter, Ben Rob Birts, and Gideon Rudd were in Captain House’s company. Colonel Chase’s regiment of Stark’s brigade in September, 1777, from Canaan.

“...Gideon Rudd married Delight, eldest daughter of John Scofield, the old settler, who “for divers good causes me thereunto moving, but more so especially for the love and good will I bear unto my well-beloved daughter Delight, wife of Gideon Rudd.” conveyed to her one hundred acres of land. Mr. Rudd lived in Hanover afterwards, and his name is commemorated in the “Rudsboro Road.”234, pgs. 350-51
