They arrived on the ship “Phoenix” 28 August 1750 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William Ehrmann was on the same ship. By 1752 they were settled in York County, Pennsylvania in or near the city of York and were members of the Christ Lutheran Church.
In the late 1760’s they moved to Frederick County, Maryland, in the city of Frederick and were members of the Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church. They appear on the census of 1776 in Frederick County.
