February 16, 1725/6 brought a bill in the Court of Chancery against his father and half brothers and sisters, saying that Corr had been settled in 1663 on the issue of his father's marriage with Margaret Layng, but that Richard Young, brother of Claud's father's second wife, had prevailed on him to leave Corr to the issue of his second marriage. Claud's widow Isabella, in a Chancery Bill 14 Jan. 1730/1 states that it was left to the award of Charles Beatty of Farranseer, Esq. who decided that Edmond Beatty, who got Corr, was to pay Claud 200 pounds. Lt. Claud Beatty's will was proved Perog. 28 Aug 1724. He left no issue by Isabella his wife.

Perogative Will - Lt. Claud Beaty of Coolherty, co Langford, Sept. 17, 1729

To my dearly beloved wife Isabella Beatty my farm and lands of Coolaherty aforesaid ??? Muckerstaff for life, and after her death same to Pakenham Beatty eldest son of my lately deceased brother, John Beatty, and his heirs male forever, following him to his brother, Charles Beatty, and his heirs male forever, failing him to the third brother John Beatty of Monaghan and his heirs. To my said dear wife Isabella Beatty the yearly ??? of 10 pounds chared on the lands of Corr, co Cavan as is mentioned in an award given to me by Captain Charles Beatty, and also to my said wife all my farm stock, plate, household goods, furniture, cash and debts owe to me; also such half pay and arrears of half pay as shall be due to me, and all my estate real and ??? whatsoever I am entitled to her my said wife Isabella for her ??? and appoint her sole exis. 17 September 1729.
