Of Gortmidarragh, Co Fermanagh, formerly of co Cavan, and sometimes of Co Fermanagh

Robert was killed at the siege of Aier in Flanders 1710, leaving a natural son, Francis Beatty, who was in the Bombadier royal Artillery and died at Gibralter in 1727.

One unknown source says "not married, illegitimate son - 1700". Crossle merely says "natural son."
