Will of Charles Beatty of Farranseer, co. Cavan, Esq. To be buried in the churchyard of Killeshandra. I bequeath 20 pounds towards my funeral and also order that my dear wife Mary Beatty "who is a aged, sickly and inform woman" do live in my house for her life and have proper maintenance. To my nephew Edward Beatty of Corr in the parish of Killeshandra my best suit of clothes and best of my linen. To my nephew Charles Beatty, son of John Beatty, late of Springtown, co Longford a diamond ring and two pair of gold buttons. To the poor of the parish of Killeshandra 5 pounds. Appoint my dear brother Arthur Beatty of Lacken, co Longford, gent. my sole heir and that he and Mr. William Tweedy of Killeshandra, co Cavan shall be exors; and that they shall jointly take proper care of my dear wife Mary Beatty for her life. 7 January 1731/32.
