This branch of the family pushed Westward through KY into Indiana (Jefferson Co). John Potts, the son of Andrew, II and Elizabeth Zilhart Potts, was born in Maryland in 1850 and moved to KY with his parents. He married and lived west of Louisville out from the river. His birth and death dates are not known and the name of his wife is not known. They had 2 children, Philip who had a club foot, was a teacher, and never married and George Potts, whose history is not known.
