NameFrances TAYLOR, GGGG Grandmother
Birthca 1760/1770
Misc. Notes
Wife listed as Elizabeth Taylor in NSDAR 45408 - Phebe Rhodes Dresser, born in Urbana, IL; wife of Herman L. Dresser

Did you see in one of the old DAR applications a statement to the effect that Elizabeth Taylor or Frances Taylor (wife of Nicholas Rhoades, mother of Walter) was a first cousin of Zachary Taylor? I have always been curious about this.411

Martin M. Harry’s bio from the 1918 History of Champaign County, also states that Mrs. Harry’s (Jemima M. Boyd) gr-grandmother was a first cousin to President Zachary Taylor. That would be Elizabeth/Frances Taylor, wife of Nicholas Rhoades.
