398“Regarding the marriage date of David Fulton to Elizabeth Yerkes (1755 or 1775?) -- Mrs. Roach also raised a question over these dates. She wrote, “The only primary sources I have is a photocopy of the marriage of a David Fulton and Elizabeth Yerkes (PA Archives) married Oct. 9, 1755 found in Christ Church Register P, 4240 (Phil., PA) by Asst. Minister Rob’t Janney. This does not jibe with an unauthenticated source that says she (Elizabeth) was born in 1755 and married in 1775. This sources does not give their source!” This would not be the first time that I have found errors. I attempted to verify the marriage date and came up with two sources stating 1755 (October 15). I guess the only way to resolve the marriage date issue is to find the original Christ Church register P, 4240.
