First shows up in Urbana in the 1850 census, but records show they came to Urbana in 1848 and lived on route 5 Urbana. He married Martha Ann Peters Sept. 7, 1860 Urbana. James died September 3, 1875 as a result of all the diseases and ailments he acquired during the Civil War. He is listed in Robert Behren’s book as James E. Harvey.
