Mary Marriott

Mary Elizabeth Marriott, 98 of Route 2, U, died at 9:28 p.m. Monday (June 18, 1984) at Burnham Hospital, Champaign.

Funeral services will be aat 2 p.m. Thursday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbanas, athe Rev. Gary Bass officiating. Burial will be in Yearsley Cemetery, northeast of Urbana.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marriott was born June 22, 1885 at Urbana, a daughter of David and Clara Fitch Smith. She married R. A. Marriott in 1906 in California. He died in 1965.

Survivors include a son, Richard Marriott of Urbana, a daughter, Clara Picaid of Climax, Mich.; a sister Lilly Townsend f Urbana; a brother Fred Smith of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, J. W. Marriott, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Marriott was a member of the Methodist Church and the Neighborhood Social Club. She attended Blackberry School, northeast of Urbana.
