Funeral services for Louis Henry dunn, 92, of Champaign formerly of Urbana, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, U. AThe Rev. James Lehmann will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Mayview.

Wisitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Dunn died at 2:30 p.m. Friday (Jan. 3, 2004) at Manor-Care Health Care Services of Champaign.

He was born May 9, 1911, in Homer, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Smith Dunn.

Survivors include Shirley Harshbarger of Savoy; a sister, Elizabeth Lewis of Knob Noster, Mo.; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Mr. Dunn was the manager of laundry for the athletic department at the University of Illinois for 23 years. He was also a gunsmith and enjoyed collecting antique firearms, hunting and fishing.

He was a founding member of the Urbana Sportsman Club, a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the American Gunsmithing Association.

Mr. Dunn served in the Army attached to the 90th Infantry Division, serving in the European Theater. He earned the Bronze star and Purple Heart, among other decorations.
