Cecyle Smith

Cecyle M. smith, 89, of rural Urbana, died at 5:10 a.m. Monday (Aug. 30, 1982) at Burnham Hospital, Champaign.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana, the Rev. Richard L. McGuire officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery, Mayview.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

Mrs. Smith was born May 6, 1893, in Somers Township, Champaign County, a daughter of Aaron and Ada Phillips Mallow. She married H. Earl Smith Jan. 17, 1912, in Champaign County. He died in 1972.

Survivors include two sons, Homer Smith of rural Urbana and Philip Smith of Dadesville, Ala.; a daughter Betty Smith of Witter, Ark.; two sisters, Marie Mallow and Gladys Stelford, both of rural Urbana; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Mayview Methodist Church, the Neighborhood Social Club and the women’s Society for Christian Service.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund or to the Diabetes Foundation.
