Homer — Inez V. Wilson, 93, of Homer died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kirby Funeral home, 708 S. Main St., Homer, with james Swathwood officiating. Burial will be in the GAR Cemetery, Homer.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilson was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Urbana, a daughter of Charles Beattie and Lulu Snyder Smith. She married Harold G. Wilson on Feb. 14, 1931, in Rossville. He died Oct. 31, 1972.

Survivors include a son, Charles Wilson of Homer; a daughter, Geraldine “Jerri” Esworthy of Ogden; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church.
