Harry Elkins

Harry Robert Elkins, 57, of Bisbee, Ariz., formerly Urbana, died Sunday (Feb. 5, 1984) at Cole Hospital, Champaign.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Blair funeral Home, Mahomet, the Rev. Morris Christman officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Elkins was born Jan. 31, 1927, at Thomasboro, a son of Robert Roselle and Hazel Grindley Elkins.

Survivors include his mother of Mahomet; his wife, Norma J. Elkins of Arizona; and a daughter, Roxanne C. Power of Phoenix, Ariz.

Mr. Elkins was a graduate of the University of Illinois and formerly taught at the UI Institute of Aviation. He had been on the staff of Cochise College, Douglas, Ariz., since 1968.

He was a veteran of world War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1015, Mahomet, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Bloomington consistory. He was also past president of te Bisbee, Ariz., Lions Club and past exalted ruler of the Bisbee, Ariz., Elks.
