Resided Topsfield, Boxford, Norwich
Owned a farm in Rowley at father's death, moved to Boxford before 22 Mar 1689/90 where he was made Freeman. Dismissed from the church in Topsfield, to become one of the constituent members of the Church in Boxford on 4 Oct 1702; moved to Norwich, CT in 1711, where he died.
He was active in town affairs and held numerous posts in Boxford, serving as Ensign and later Lieutenant of the militia.
He, as Thomas of Boxford, bought land in Norwich for L200 from Jonathan Hartshorn on 17 Mar 1711/12. He was accepted as an inhabitant of Norwich on 21 Dec 1712. Lived in the part of Norwich called West Farms and with three sons was a petitioner for its incorporation as a parish in 1716. It is now Franklin. In 1716, he and three of his sons were among the petitioners for the formation of a separate parish at the West Farms of Norwich.

“Thomas owned a farm in Rowley at his father’s death. He removed to Boxford before March 22, 1689-90, where he was made freeman. He was dismissed from the church in topsfield, to become one of the constituent members of the church in Boxford, in 1702; and in 1711 again removed to Norwich, Conn., where he died April 12, 1735, aged 77 years. He lived in the part of Norwich called West Farms, and, with three sons, was one of the petitioners for its incorporation as a parish in 1716. It is now Franklin. He married Jan. 1, 1682-3, Mary, dau. of Thomas Howlet, whose father was the Sergeant Thomas Howlet, one of the ten first settlers in Agawam (Ipswich) 1632-3, deputy from Ipswich 1635, and Topsfield 1665, and often employed in running lines and locating towns and farms. She died Oct. 24, 1727.”
