Obituary:
Coggon, Iowa - Ralph O. Dunn, 81, of Monticello, Iowa, formerly of Coggon, Iowa, died Friday (Aug. 8, 1997) at the Monticello Senior Home, Monticello, Iowa.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Monday at United Parish Church, Coggon, iowa. The Ref. Shannon Kimbell-Auth officiated. Burial was in Coggon Cemetery, Coggon, Iowa.

Visitation and Masonic services were held Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home, Central City, Iowa.

Mr. Dunn was born March 14, 1916, at Urbana, a son of Ralph and Willie Smith Dunn. He married Helen Wittenmeier on Dec. 14, 1916. She died in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Dunn and Ralph "Rod" Dunn, both of Coggon, Iowa; a daughter, Kathy Bolender of Coggon, Iowa; three sisters, Ruth Sherman of Grand Rapids, Mich., Wilma Bussey of Holmes Beach, Fla., and Lois Jean Smalling of Tuscola; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a grandson.

Mr. Dunn moved from Urbana to Coggon, Iowa, in 1951. He was a farmer and had worked at Harnischfeger Corp. for 22 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Masons.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
