Predeceased by her parents, husband Reinhold, daughter Shela Carol Adam, brothers Alfred, George and Edward, sisters Carolina, Regina, Augusta and Alma. Survived by a daughter, a sister. Aikenhead - Kenneth Garnet, Jan. 10, 1921 - Feb. 7, 1921 (D2) - infant son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Aikenhead died Feb. 7, 1921

Anderson - Russell Emmanuel Anderson Passed away Jan. 13, 2003 In Yorkton, Sk. He was born on the farm near Fone Hill on April 9, 1919 to Carl and Edia Victoria (nee Pearson) Anderson. Predeceased by his father Carl and his mother Edia Victoria, his brothers, Ronald, Lionel, Wendell and Thorild, his sister Bernice. Survived by his wife Mildred, his brother John, sister Lillian. Funeral held Jan. 20, 2003 from Christie Hill Funeral Home.

Arnott - Louisa Margaret 1873 - 1920 (D3) - The death occurred at her residence, 2nd Ave. south of Mrs. David Arnott, after a prolonged illness. The funeral took place on Monday. Interred in Yorkton Cemetery. Survived by husband and son David. Born at Stone Staffs, England her maiden name being Louisa Margaret Sims.

Azure - Colin Joseph died Sept. 4, 2003 at Regina, Sk. Born April 7, 1959 at Yorkton. Mother Dora Azure. Survived by brothers and sisters. Predeceased by his mother, brothers Stanley and Wally. Funeral held Sept. 8, 2003 from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home.

Babey - Leokadja (Katie) - Dec. 10, 1917 - Sept. 18, 2005. Born in Germany. Parents Samuel and Anna (Fechner) Kimmel. Immigrated to Canada in 1926. Married June 15, 1946 to Peter Babey. Predeceased by her husband in 1997, father in 1950, mother in 1970, sister Matilda in 1954, brothers Fred in 1946, Emanuel (Dick ) 1987 and Adolf in 1987. Survived by her children, and a brother. Funeral held Sept. 24, 2005 at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Yorkton.

Backlund - May - Died July 13, 1922 aged 2 years, 1 month. Daughter of Mr. Charles Backlund. Funeral service at Christie's Undertaking Parlors.

Baran - Michael died March 15, 2002 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Born November 18, 1923 to Jack and Ksenia (nee Gulka) in Hryhoniv, Western Ukraie. Came to Yorkton in Sept. of 1951. Married Oct. 13, 1957 to Zena Gulka. They had 3 sons. Michael was predeceased by his father, mother, and three sisters. Survived by his wife, sons and a sister in the Ukraine. Funeral held March 19 at St. Mary's Church, Yorkton.

Bararsky - Annie May died Dec. 9, 2003 at Yorkton. Born May 31, 1916 at Blaine Lake, Sk. Parents William and Barbara Verkhood. Married Nick Barsarsky on Oct. 27, 1934. Predeceased by her parents, a sister Mary in 1951, brother Harry Williams in 1968, husband Nick in 1978, son Nick in 1997. Survived by three children. Funeral held December 15, 2003 at St. Andrews United church in Yorkton.

Barnetson - William - Died July 6, 1930, aged 75 years. Born at Caithness, Scotland. Came to Canada in 1922. Survived by his widow and 4 sons and 2 daughters.

Baron - Mary - Died March 13, 2003 at Yorkton. Born March 10, 1904 in the Verigin district. Parents Anastasia (Nellie) (nee Kachur) and Demetro Deriniwsky. Married Nov. 7, 1937 to Harry Baron. Predeceased by her parents, husband Harry in 1971, sisters Annie in 1968, Stella in 1968, Anastasia in 1943 and Udokia in 1918. Bartlett - George 1859 - 1930 (19) - Died Oct. 24, 1930, aged 71 years. Born at dorsetshire, England. Came to Canada in 1900. survived by his widow and two sons and 1 stepson.

Bates - Anne - Died June 30, 2004 at Yorkton. Born August 8, 1912 at Invermay, Sk. Parents Thomas and Annie condon. Married Oct. 8, 1931 to Raymond Bates. Predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1993, her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Survived by two sons. Funeral held July 2, 2004 from Christie-Hill Funeral Chapel, Yorkton.

Bates - Edith Florence died Oct. 11, 2003. Born March 11, 1920 in the Pebble Lake District. Parents Joseph and Florence (Fenn) McInnes. Married June 24, 1946 to Lloyd Walter Bates. Predeceased by her parents, Husband Lloyd in 1980, brothers John and Clarence, sisters Lillian and Majorie. Survived by a son. Funeral held Oct. 20, 2003 from Christie Hill Funeral Chapel.

Beatty - Jane, died April 24, 1918, age 71 years, 4 mos, 28 days (20) - Came here from Cobourg, Ont. 11 years previous. Predeceased by husband James three years previous. Survived by 9 children, James, George, Charles, Richard, William, Jennie, Louise, Daisy and Mrs. Chisholm. Funeral held at Holy Trinity Church, Yorkton.

Beblow - Polly - Died Jan. 6, 2005. Born Jan. 6, 1915. Parents Michael and Magdalina (Diakiw) Chupa. Married Nov. 8, 1931 to Metro Beblow. Predeceased by her husband Metro in 1999, her parents, Michael in 1953 and Magdalina in 1943, her daughter Marjorie Rose and her brothers Bill, Metro, George, Fred and John. Survived by children, brother and sister. Funeral held Jan. 10, 2005 from St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic church.

Beck - Alice Amelia, June 21, 1880 - March 1917 (D9) - Died March 7, 1917 at her home four miles east of Yorkton. Aged 36 years and 8 months. Maiden surname was Sherwin. Survived by her husband, three brothers and two sisters, Mrs. J. Gilliland of Yorkton, Miss L. Sherwin and Messrs. Josh, Frank and Caleb Sherwin all of this district. Funeral at the Methodist church.

Beck - Charles 1869 - 1954 (A34) - Funeral held from St. Andrew's United Church. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Adam Beck. Born August 28, 1869 at Salem, Wellington County, Ontario. Came to Yorkton area in 1890. Survived by his wife, son and three daughters. Predeceased by a daughter Ella Letts.

Beck - Hannah, born near Hespler, Ontario (Waterloo county) on Dec. 27, 1847, died Nov. 6, 1931. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mosser. Married in 1870 to Adam Beck. Survived by 2 sons, Jacob and Roy.

Beck - Howard Stanley, died Feb. 15, 1919, aged 6 weeks, 3 days (D5) near Yorkton, Saturday, Feb. 15, 1919. Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beck aged 6 weeks.

Beck - Jacob 1878 - 1962 (D9) - (Jake) Funeral held at St. Andrew's United Church, Yorkton. Born Sept. 3, 1879 at Salem, Ont. Parents Adam and Hannah Beck. Came to Yorkton area in 1890. Married Mary Louise Beatty on April 20, 1930. Survived by his wife. Predeceased by six brothers, Wes, Roy, Joseph, Levi, Fred and Charles.

Beck - John Adam, died July 20, 1904, age 68 yrs, 9 mos. (D13) - Born in Germany. Came to Canada at age sixteen. First lived in Wellington County, Ontario. First marriage to Miss Spiers in Salem. She died in 1871. Four surviving sons from this marriage, Levi and Charles of Yorkton, Frederick of New York State and Joseph of Washington State. Second marriage to Hannah Mosser in Guelph, Onatio. They came west in 1887. Of the second marriage survived by his wife, three sons, Wesley of Sheho, Jacob and Roy of Yorkton and area. Funeral held from the family residence.

Beck - W. Roy, Jan. 29, 1887 - Jan. 25, 1941 (D5) Born at Salem, Ontario on January 29, 1887. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Adam Beck. Came to Yorkton area in 1890. Married Nov. 25, 1914 to May Fletcher. Survived by his wife, fours sons, Allan, Ross, Gordon and Fred, three daughters, Funeral held at Christie's Funeral Home.

Beitz - Frederick Jr. - Died Dec. 5, 2004. Born April 6, 1908 in Friedenburg, russia. Parents Frederick and Katherine (nee Lenning) Beitz. Immigrated to Canada in 1913. Married March 27, 1930 to Sarah Weinmaster. Predeceased by his parents, son James Arthur, brothers Emanuel, Andrew and alexander, sister Ericka and his wife Sarah on May 16, 1994. survived by two daughters, two sisters. Funeral held Dec. 10, 2004 from the First Baptist church, Yorkton.

Bernath - Mary 1918 - 2002 (10) - Mary passed October 27, 2002 at Yorkton, Sk. She was born Oct. 25, 1918 in the Goodeve district. Parents Carl and Mary (nee Turchk) Bancarz. Married Nov. 15, 1939 to Andrew Bernath at St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton. Predeceased by her husband Andrew on April 26, 1985, her father Carl in 1970, her mother in 1986. Survived by a son and daughter. Funeral held Oct. 30, 2002 from St. Gerard's church in Yorkton.

Betker - Kenneth Edward, Sept. 25, 1925 - June 5, 2002, age 76 (C33) - Died June 4, 2002 at Yorkton. Born Sept. 24, 1925 in Yorkton, to Fred and Elizabeth (nee Aichele) Betker. Married Olga Borys in 1949. Had 4 children. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Harold, Gordon, Alvin, Percy and Morely, his sisters Bernice and Beverly. Survived by his wife, his children and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral service held June 6, 2002.

Black - William (C13) - Died May 24, 1922, aged 42 years at Yorkton. Came to Yorkton from Scotland nineteen years ago. Born Sept. 30. Married Miss Grimm. Survived by wife and five daughters, four brothers, two sisters.

Blahey - Sophie - died May 28, 2003 at St. Paul's Hospital in Sasktoon. Born Nov. 9, 1935 at Drobot, Sk., Parents Wasyl and May (nee Hupka) Boychuk. Married Oct, 1954 to Cyril Blahey. Had four children. Predeceased by her mother Mary in 1968, father Wasyl in 1975, brothers Matt in 1971, George in 1982, John in 1982, Nick in 1998. Survived by her children, and a brother. Bohach - Joseph (Joe) 1921 - 2003 (F19) - Joseph passed away on Jan. 19, 2003 at Yorkton, Sk. He was born August 15, 1921, the son of Nick and Theodora (nee Kozack) Bohach. Married August in 1948 to Elsie "Alice" Statz. Predeceased by his wife, Alice in 1990, his son Willard in 1963, his parents, his siblings, John, Bill, Nick, George, Sam, Steve Mary and Andy. Gilbert - Florence Ethel, July 18, 1916 - Sept. 17, 1917 (22) - One of the saddest fatalities in the history of the district occurred at the farm of Mr. John Gilbert of the Shamrock district on Monday when his only daughter, Florence Ethel, aged 14 months died as a result of taking a small quantity of gopher poison. Survices were conducted at the home by Rev. T. H. Sendall and Canon Cornish and at Holy Trinity church, followed by interment in Yorkton Cemetery.

>b>JOHNSON - Gordon William passed away peacefully July 3, 2011 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton. He was 74 years of age. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Cliff and Isabel; his grandson, Kaelob; and one brother, Christopher. He is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Donna; his three sons, Tom (Maureen) and their children, Amanda, Taylor and Ashton; Tim (Rhonda) and Trent (Amy) and their children, Dawson and Rhylind; one sister, Katherine and one brother, Colin (Diana). Gord was very active in sports, baseball, curling and golf and was known for his early exits from some baseball games. He excelled in any sport in which he participated. Gord was inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and the Yorkton Sports Hall of Fame and was honoured to be the 1990 Yorkton Sportsman of the Year. Gord and Donna moved to Yorkton following their marriage in 1961 and have been faithful residents ever since. Gord began his working life with Canada Post mail contract delivery and eventually worked at the Yorkton Post Office until his retirement. The Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, with Rev. Faye Greer officiating. Linus Westberg shared words of tribute and eulogy. The organist, Carla Laycock, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art. The Cremation Committal in the Yorkton City Cemetery preceded the memorial service with Reverend Faye Greer officiating and Gordon's grandson, Taylor Johnson serving as the urn bearer.

Rahn - Emil A. - died Feb. 23, 1921 (D5) - born in Russian-Poland on the 15th day of August in 1880. In 1899 he came to Winnipeg. Here he was married to Miss Augustina Lange on the 13 of September in 1906. He was converted and baptised by Rev. Wm. Schunke and united with the First German Baptist church at Winnipeg. In 1908 he moved with his family to Yorkton. On the morning of the 15th of February he happened to step on a rusty nail, causing an insignificant wound, which however, in the course of a week developed lock-jaw, which ended fatally on the evening of the 23rd of February. He died at the age of only 39 years, 5 months and 22 days. His wife, seven children of minor age, his aged mother, two brothers and two sisters and a large circle of friends and relatives mourn his untimely death.
