He was a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan in Commerce and subsequently practiced as a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in Saskatchewan and BC. Gil was a natural mentor to family and friends alike, to young and old and sometimes to unwitting strangers, whether sipping a favored wine in a bistro or astride his bike on a street corner. He placed a high value on family and friends, often giving more of himself than he should have for his own well-being. He lead, others followed. He organized, others participated. He was a business mind, a teacher, a community activist, a techno geek, a computer wiz and a take-charge kind of guy. He had strong opinions and he argued them forcefully but behind it all he had a heart of gold with a strong commitment to support family and friends through thick and thin. During his tenure with senior governments, Gil made a substantial and enduring contribution to economic development in BC through the Employee Share Ownership Program, Forest Renewal, the Canada-BC Tourism Development Agreement, the Agriculture and Rural Development Agreement and other federal and provincial programs. In his four years in the Comox Valley he served on the Comox Valley Airport Commission and the Comox Valley Economic Development Society. He was also membership chair and web site coordinator for the Pacific Northwest Economic Development Council. After cycling across most provinces and many states with friends, relatives and total strangers he would adopt along the way, Gil and his wife Lynne embarked on one of life's greatest adventures, pedaling from Alaska to the southernmost tip of South America over 11 months in 1999 and 2000. This self-contained, 18,000 kilometre camping trip in his 50th year was a celebration of life. His incidental role as an international ambassador for cycling earned him many life-long friends in Europe and the Americas. His bicycletheamericas.com website evolved from this trip as a forum and resource for like-minded cycling enthusiasts. Gil was also an adventurous skier and kayaker, as many discovered to their chagrin as he challenged their limits. Indeed he thrived on the challenge of chaos. His passing will leave a large void in many people's lives. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 27th at the Knox United Church, Lanigan, SK.

She will be missed by her fourteen grandchildren, their spouses, twenty great grandchildren, her sisters Connie (Bob Nelson), Grace Strong, and sister-in-laws Lillian Plaster and Margaret Plaster. She also leaves many other friends and relatives in Canada and Arizona. Ida touched the hearts of many people with her generosity, love of life, and sense of humour. Ida received her education in a rural school (Kneller) and Drake and then went to Normal School in Saskatoon. She taught at Evansvale and Stoney Rest. She and Sandy were married in Saskatoon December 23, 1938 and they resided on the farm in the Bloomfield district until 1968 when they moved to Lanigan. Ida was a member of the United Church and an active community member serving on committees with the Red Cross, the Girl Guides, the Women's Institute, and the United Church. She was a founding committee member of the Central Parkland Lodge. She loved to travel, play bridge, fish, and visit with friends and family. She was very proud of her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She went to as many of their sports and school functions as possible. BLAIR - Sidney Stuart. May 12th, 1938 - May 28th, 2007. At 4:38 a.m. on Monday May 28th, 2007 Sidney Stuart Blair took his last flight home, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Sid is lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Marlene Thingelstad; his children, Peri-Lynne Blair (Greg Osiowy), Lindsay Blair (Diane Simmons), Tiffany Blair (Michael Scheibelhoffer), Jason Blair (Renata Mag-Atas); his six grandchildren, Clayton, Fraser and Nolan Osiowy, Dylan and Wilson Scheibelhoffer, and Hunter Blair; his brother, Wilson Blair (Agnes); and his sister, Joanne Hammond (Jim); his Aunt Ida Blair; his cousins, Betty Shields (Jack), Dale Blair (Janet), Ronnie Blair (Connie), Heather Blair, Kelly Gibney (Diane), Kathy Symons, John Watson (Yolanda), Gillian Watson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his six grand-dogs. Sid was raised on the family farm in Lanigan, Saskatchewan. As a kid, he enjoyed playing sports and was a keen debater. As a teenager, he had the privilege of being both a King Scout and Queen Scout. Sid joined the Air Force for basic training, and was one of the few Canadians to see the Avro Arrow jet fly. Although Sid moved away from the farm it was clear that he remained a country boy at heart. Sid was a graduate of the College of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan in 1961. He earned his Master's of Soil Science in 1963. His working career was initially spent in Soil Science, and then on to Sales and Marketing with Simplot Chemical Company (Brandon, Manitoba), and the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan until his retirement. He was the consummate corporate man. He was dedicated, loyal, energetic, and loved working with his customers and colleagues across North America. During his retirement, Sid invested a great deal of time and effort documenting the Blair family history. Sid was an avid sports fan and his favorite pro-teams were the Boston Red Socks (Baseball), Dallas Cowboys (NFL Football), and Saskatchewan Roughriders. His ultimate favorite sports teams were the ones his children and grandchildren played on. Poppa Sid was driver, side-line coach, and #1 fan. Poppa happily attended many swim meets, dance recitals, science fairs, soccer, hockey and baseball practices and games, art fairs, and backyard adventures. When Poppa called, his first question was always ... what's today's schedule?. Above all, Sid Blair was a "happy" family man. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. Everyone who knew Sid had a soft spot for him. Our father went out of his way to make people feel like family, whether you had known him for a lifetime or a brief moment. On behalf of our family, we would like to sincerely thank the Royal University Hospital Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) Red medical team, and Unit 6000/6100 Nursing and Support Staff for their exceptional care, compassion, and efforts to honour Sid's wishes and life. Sid created a lasting impression on the CTU Red team forming his own football team with Dr. Stephen Sanche (coach), Dr. Regina Taylor Gjevre (assistant coach), Dr. Kris Stewart (quarter back), Dr. Stephan Wardell (tight end), Dr. Justina Koshinsky (tackle), Family Physician Dr. Roy Chernoff (wide receiver), Dr. Sivaruban "Ruban" Kanagaratnam (running back), Dr. Amer Sami (running back), Dr. Jawed Akhtar (wide receiver), the Nursing staff (center) and other care team members (guards). Sid was proud to wear his "Red Socks" to represent his team's approach to care. His "last play" on the field was carried out with grace, skill, careful planning, and collaboration. A Celebration of Sid's life will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. from Acadia Drive Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK).

BUSHMAN - Katherine was born December 26, 1909 to Jacob and Maria Janzen in Gnadenfeldt, Ukraine, a sister to Abraham and Mary. They survived battlefields of World War I, the Russian Revolution and ensuing famine. At this time Mom became aware of her need for a personal faith in Jesus, a decision that shaped her choices throughout life. As repression increased, they immigrated to Canada through Mennonite Central Committee sponsorship, settling with the Hugo Bartels near Drake. "Katie " attended Kansas Public School, mastering English, an advantage in employment as well as playing Scrabble into her 90's. Katie and Mary worked as domestic servants in Saskatoon and the Niagara Peninsula repaying their family's immigration dept. Katie was well liked and at one point had a proposal for marriage, albeit from an eight year old boy. While there she received letters from David Bushman, and soon a serious marriage proposal. Dave and Pete had lived in a 3 room lean-to near Lockwood, and this is where Dave brought his new bride in 1942. In 1948 Dave and Katie bought her parents farm near Watrous, and in 1958 volunteers help built a "new " house from salvaged lumber. Her sister Mary and husband were killed in a horrific traffic accident the same year. Farm life included milking cows, stacking loose hay, a huge garden and carrying water or melting snow for her gas washer. Electrification in 1969 eased these duties. Retiring to Watrous in 1976, Dave and Katie continued gardening to the delight of passers by. As health deteriorated, they moved to their children's acreage at Hague, and when Dave passed away in 1988, Katie rented a condo in West Portal Manor, and later a suite in Central Place. Her failing health necessitated Home Care, three months in Parkridge, and 33 months in Central Haven Special Care Home. We are grateful to all her care givers. Her personality and faith remained vibrant until her death. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Philadelphia Mennonite Brethren Church, Watrous, SK. with Pastor Darren Holland officiating. Interment will be held in the Philadelphia Mennonite Brethren Church Cemetery, Watrous, SK.

In 1942 he was baptized in Manitou Lake and joined Philadelphia MB Church in Watrous, Sask. He married Agnes Schroeder July 9, 1948. Their home was marked by love, laughter and acceptance. Peter loved picnics, pitching his sucker ball at softball games and playing hockey and table games. His family was a priority, and he loved to tease, joke and play pranks. He drew strength from his faith in God. At 49, he suffered a stroke, but carried on farming with the help of his sons. In 1994 he was diagnosed with diabetes. In May 1999 he was diagnosed with mini strokes and severe Alzheimers. He was granted his wish to live at home with Agnes until 2 weeks before his death. DENNISS - Alfred "Alf" Wallace Denniss of Drake, SK, passed away peacefully at Lanigan Hospital on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the age of 80 years and five months. Alfred was born on June 7,1928 to the late Clifford and Hattie Denniss, the youngest of nine children, seven girls and two boys. He grew up on the farm 12 3/4 miles N.E. of Nokomis, taking his schooling at Kutawagan School 1 1/4 miles North of his home. Apart from working in Toronto and Vancouver for four winters, he remained on the farm and farmed with his Dad. In the fall of 1952, Alfred's Mum and Dad retired and moved into Nokomis. On October 25 of the same year, Alfred was married to Florence McConnell of Semans. Together they raised four children: two boys, Vernon and Gordon, and two girls, Colleen and Cheryl. The farm was home to the Denniss family for the next 43 years. Alfred committed his life to the Lord at an early age and along with his family, attended the Pentecostal Church at Semans for 19 years, and later, the Pentecostal Church in Lanigan from 1968 to his passing. Throughout the years he held various offices in both Semans and Lanigan churches including Deacon, Sunday school teacher, youth leader and Sunday school secretary-treasurer. Church was an important part of the family life and was seldom missed except for a good reason. One thing our family always looked forward to was the family camp. Each year, one week was set aside to take the kids, and later the grandkids, to this time of fun and fellowship. Many lasting friendships were gained through these special times. Since the children were now attending Nokomis School, it gave him the opportunity to serve on the school board, which he did as board member and board secretary for five years. In the summer of 1995, Alfred and Florence decided it was time to leave the farm and get on with their life. After careful consideration, the choice was made to live in Drake. With several events that took place over the years, they felt the Lord had led them in this direction. As a retirement hobby, Alfred decided to take up bicycle repairing under the name of 'Country Cycle', a business started by the late Mel Bartel a number of years before. Since he enjoyed meeting people, this gave Alfred the opportunity to meet people, which he never would have done otherwise. Alfred enjoyed bookkeeping and because of this was secretary-treasurer of the Richfarms Snow Plow Club for a number of years. He took an interest in carpenter work and spent many days and hours in the workshop. For a number of years, he was an active member of the Nokomis Farmer's Market. Alfred played several musical instruments including mouth organ, guitar and musical saw and along with his wife, provided many hours of entertainment at senior's homes and other community events. Alfred was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Hattie; brother Walter of Nokomis; five sisters, Florence Chute of Somme, Ethel Richmond of Kipling, Jean Latimer of Edmonton, Margaret Denniss of Toronto and an infant sister Dora; and three brothers-in-law, Donald Chute of Somme, Leonard Richmond of Kipling and Carson Latimer of Edmonton. She passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary with family by her side. Anna was born February 19, 1918 to David and Margarete Toews in Rosthern, Sask. Anna enjoyed a happy childhood as part of a large family. She attended school in Rosthern, completing high school at Rosthern Junior College. It was during that time that she met the love of her life and future husband, Syl Funk. Anna and Syl were married in Rosthern on July 27, 1940. They settled in Drake where she was active in their home, church and community. Anna loved gardening, curling, tennis and family vacations. After their children were grown, Anna and Syl moved to Saskatoon. The loving circle of her life grew to include her grandchildren for whom she has always been a role model. Her faith in God and her commitment to the church was evident in all aspects of her life. Following Syl's death, Anna moved to Calgary to be close to family. FUNK - Rev. Henry H. Funk was born on May 23, 1923 to Henry and Anna Funk at Rosenfeld, MB. He was the fourth of six children, four brothers and one sister. As a child, he attended the Reichenbach country school and then went to Rosenfeld for Grades 9 to 11 and boarded in Altona for Grade 12. After high school, he was called up for military service but was granted conscientious objective status and served three years of alternative service in a psychiatric hospital in Portage la Prairie, MB. He continued to work as a hospital orderly even after the war ended. He then felt the Lord's call and was baptized at Bethel Mennonite Church and committed his life to Christian ministry. He began his studies at Mennonite Brethren Bible College, then CMBC and the University of Manitoba. He obtained his Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Theology and Bachelor of Pedagogy degrees. While Henry was studying at CMBC, he met Katherine Klippenstein who would be his life's partner. They were married July 15, 1951 and together had three children, Robert, Christine and Joanne, who greatly enriched their lives. His first point of ministry was to help the Carman Mennonite congregation organize and become a church. After six years of service there, the family moved to Winnipeg to serve the St. Vital congregation and to teach in a high school for the next six years. The came from Rosthern Junior College to be on staff there. He enjoyed the challenge of working with young people in a residential school. After 4-1/2 years, he followed his heart and returned to pastoral ministry again, this time to the nearby town of Waldheim. These were nine happy years because Waldheim was the home of Katherine's family. Then the family moved to Drake, where he pastored for 14 years, putting down deep roots never to move again. He concluded his ministry by serving as Sask. Conference Minister for the next three years. Henry enjoyed his 40 continuous years of church work. His strength was relating to all ages and stages of people. He had the privilege of baptizing each of his children and officiating at their weddings as well as the wedding of his oldest granddaughter. After retirement, Henry enjoyed working and playing with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During this tune, he and Katherine spent four months in Mexico teaching in a Mennonite Bible School. He also did pulpit ministry in the Bethany Church near Watrous for one year. His traveling consisted mainly of attending conferences in Canada and US and camping at the same time, this becoming our family vacation. Henry had a full life, giving freely of himself, his gifts, his tune and his money for others. About five years ago, Henry's mental capacity began to fade. Slowly his dementia increased and life was difficult. He moved to Lanigan Central Parkland Lodge a year ago on August 22, 2009. Although he was given compassionate care, he desperately longed to come home. He lost much weight and his physical health also failed. God granted Henry an easy and peaceful, and sudden death on September 11,2010 in the arms of Katherine, his faithful wife of 59 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory: his three children, Bob (Sylvia) Funk and their children Garett and Alanna; Chris (Vie) Bergen and their children Malisa and Doug Thomas and Emily, Kade and Anwyn; Jesse and Heather Bergen and Ty; Mark and Melissa Bergen; and Joanne (Quinton) Bartel and their children Dustin, James, Erica and Mitchell; one brother, Ed (Hilda) Funk; sisters-in-law, Teenie Funk and Margaret Funk; in-laws, Vie (Doreen) Klippenstein, Margaret (Herf) Telke, John (Marie) Klassen, Anne Andres, Grace (Robert) Toews, many nieces, nephews and friends and all those whose lives he touched. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Reverend Henry H. Funk was held on Friday, September 17,2010 at 2:00 p.m. at North Star Mennonite Church in Drake, SK. Pastor Emily Toews officiated. Ushers were Amy and Maurice Wildeman and Ed Bergen. Pallbearers were grandsons Garrett Funk, Jesse Bergen, Mark Bergen, Dustin Bartel, James Bartel and Mitchell Bartel. Guestbook attendants were Malisa Thomas, Erica Bartel and Alanna Funk. Memorial table attendants were Eleonora Schmidt and Lynda Wolfe. Special music was by Jim and Eileen Ewert, Leona Ewert and Ed Ewert. Organist was Marjorie Kline. Pianist was Mary Schmidt. Sound was by Ivan Bartel. A fellowship luncheon was held in the Drake Community Centre immediately following the service. Henry was laid to rest during a private family service of interment earlier in the day at the North Star country cemetery. A sincere thank you to family, friends and especially to all of the North Star Church family for your prayers and expressions of sympathy.

Jake's passing is mourned by his wife and friend of 67 years, Marie; daughter, Elaine (Willard) Boschman of Prince Albert; sons, Wayne (Sheila) of Langley, BC, Garth (and friend, Anita) of Edmonton, Kerby (Loree) of Cobble Hill, BC; and sister, Mary Elias of Lanigan; and many sisters and brothers-in-law. He dearly loved and will be missed by his grandchildren, Joni, Maureen, LaDawn, Laurelle, Rob, Stephanie, Ben (Sue), Crystal, Brody (Amanda), Matthew and Cole; and his great-grandchildren, Zach, Jake, Nina, Christina, Emerie, Eden and Izzy. Our Dad, Jake, was born and raised in Drake, SK and attended Rosthern Junior College where he met his sweetheart, Marie. He alternated years studying medicine at the U of S, and working as an orderly, until the 30's ended his formal education. After their marriage, Jake and Marie settled in Rosthern working first at Friesen's Department Store and then operating the Experimental Farm (what is now referred to as the Mennonite Youth Farm). During the war years they acquired and moved to the Watrous Dairy with Wayne, Elaine, Garth and Betsy the cow. Next strop was the Guernsey Red and White Grocery, where Dad served as village secretary (and engineer), school bus driver, Pool Flour distributor, License Issuer, Electric power company supplier, Barber, Farmer and many times choir leader. Every Sunday in summer, the kids swam at Manitou Lake while Dad played trumpet in the band in front of the pool. Over the years, Jake played ball, golf and hockey and was runner up in the Nipawin Car Bonspiel. With the oldest three children grown up, they left Guernsey with Kerby to begin a new life in Prince Albert with the operation of one of the first King Koin Launderettes and coin car wash. Jake and Marie spent many happy winters in Mesa, before they finally retired to Saskatoon where they have resided the last 13 years. The family would like to thank their many friends for all their heartfelt wishes, and especially the staff of the Royal University Hospital and Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to find a way to do something kind for a Saskatchewan nurse. A private family interment will precede the Service on Saturday.

FUNK - Sylvester "Syl". We, as a family, are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sylvester Funk on February 5, 2009 at the age of 92 years. He passed away peacefully at the Royal University Hospital with family by his side. Syl was born February 5, 1917 to John and Mary Funk on a farm close to Drake, Saskatchewan. He attended school in Drake through grade 11 and completed grade 12 at Rosthern Junior College. While at RJC, Syl enjoyed an active school year, including playing hockey for the Rosthern Wheat Kings. Of greater significance to him was meeting his future wife, Anna Toews, whom he married in Rosthern on July 27, 1940. Following High School, Syl enrolled in the Engineering Faculty at the U of S. When his father died unexpectedly, Syl left university to take over the family store in Drake. His years in the Drake General Store lead to many other opportunities. His partnerships throughout Saskatchewan resulted in successful businesses and close friendships. After selling the Drake Store, he and Anna moved to Saskatoon where Syl pursued a career in financial investments. Not only did Syl excel at his work, he found pleasure in contributing to causes that he believed in. It was the act rather than the praise that served as his reward. Syl achieved balance in his life through enjoying travel, tennis, skiing, and golf with his family and friends. His patience in sharing his skills was a characteristic admired by everyone he taught. Syl has always been a great role model with strong values, a strong sense of family importance and community values. WOLFE - Marie (nee Schmidt) June 26, 1912 - October 23, 2009. Marie (Schmidt) Wolfe was born to Peter and Susannah (Guenther) Schmidt on June 26, 1912 in a new wooden dwelling that her Dad had just built a few years before. She was fifth in a family of four girls and seven boys. She loved school and would have liked to continue her education to be a teacher, but had to quit because of hard times to help at home on the farm. Being the youngest of four girls, she was often delegated to friends and neighbours to help out for several months at a time. She learned to work hard at a very young age. In 1931 she met a handsome young man who had come from Russia. They fell in love and were married on April 9, 1933. Harry and Mary Wolfe worked together as a married couple at August Bartels farm until the next spring when they rented the Wallace place next door. There, on May 16, 1934 Linda was born. They worked hard, but the depression years of dust and dry land kept them poor. On July 10, 1935 Willard joined the family. We remember many good times, working in the garden, quilting bees, puzzling, stooking, visiting with cousins, especially Uncle Abe and Aunt Emma Schmidt next door with seven children and lots of activity, and Uncle John and Aunt Tina Toews. On September 27, 1941, on a cold crisp autumn day, Elsie was born. Soon things began to look better. Rain came, crops grew, gophers quit, gardens began to produce, and Dad bought his first car, a 1928 Whippet. Uncle Johnnie Schmidt brought it over on a Sunday morning and gave a few lessons around the yard, then Dad proudly drove us to church. Church was always very important to Mom and Dad. Mom never left any work undone if she could help it. She taught all of us to work hard and enjoy it. She would often make a game or a race of it and see who could be done first. In the fall of 1945, Dad bought Uncle Peter Guenthers farm. On a cloudy, rainy day in October the family moved to their new farm, which was next to the Schmidt farm where Mom grew up (homesteaded by Grandpa in 1906). Mom really appreciated her big new house. She had a huge garden and Dad planted an assortment of fruit trees that he really enjoyed. On November 13, 1945 Les was born at home, like the rest of us. Mom was baptized at Drake North Star Church and remained a member until her passing. Later she often taught a ladies Sunday school class. She became a member of Goodwill Ladies Society and enjoyed the fellowship of other women. She learned to drive car and truck on the farm, and was always involved in helping everywhere outside, be it stooking, shovelling grain, milking, tending chickens, etc. They left the farm and bought a house in Drake in October 1974 where they lived until the summer of 1987. They then moved into the Drake Villa which was brand new, something that really delighted Mom. They spent a lot of time at the Silver Sages in Drake playing games and socializing. On November 9, 1998, due to Moms failing health, on a beautiful sunny day, they moved to Pineview Manor in Rosthern. After Dads death in December 2002, Mom spent more than a year alone, then moved into the nursing home where she received more care. Left to mourn Mom are her children: Linda (Lowell) Bartel, Willard (Kathy) Wolfe, Elsie (Alvin) Krause, and Lynda Wolfe; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Kevin (Tammy), Emerson and Nathan Bartel, Karen (Steven), Calen (fiance Emma Gillette), Kinshasa, Michaela and Brooklyn Falk, Kalene, Sameh, Allegra, and Tianna Bartsch, Sheralyn (Roy), Amy, and Alex Goering, Jacqui (Kim), Alliah and Seth Krahn, Cameron (Twila), Sydney Wolfe, David (Mianne) Mckinley Krause, Michael (Shannon), Justin, Jordan and Megan Krause, Lisa, William Krause, Shannon (Ray Healey), Dryden and Kyle Lalach, Shawn (Melissa), Renee and Dalton Wolfe, Shane (Trisha), Kyla and Kaelan Wolfe. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Susanne Schmidt, husband Harry, infant son, daughter-in-law Martha Wolfe, great grandchild James Lalach, and last Friday son Les; brothers Abe, Henry, John, Jacob, Ben, Bill and Pete; sisters Tina, Susie and Annie. The Funeral Service was held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at North Star Mennonite Church, Drake, SK with Pastor Emily Toews and LaVerne Jantz officiating. The pallbearers were (grandsons) Kevin Bartel, Cameron Wolfe, David Krause, Michael Krause, Shawn Wolfe and Shane Wolfe. Honourary pallbearers were (granddaughters) Sheralyn Goering, Karen Falk, Jacqui Krahn, Kalene Bartsch, Shannon Lalach and Lisa Krause. Interment took place in the North Star Cemetery.

Gladys passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Villas in Prince Albert with family by her side. She leaves behind one daughter, Wendy (Jerry) and one son, Randy (Colleen) and two grandsons; Riley and Kyle (Christine). She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herb and her daughter Colleen as well as her parents, nine sisters and three brothers. Gladys was born the 13th child of John and Nellie Stevenson on the farm at Drake, Saskatchewan. In her early teen years she moved to Saskatoon where she finished her schooling and began working for Palm Dairies. While living in Saskatoon she met Herbert Zielke. They married in 1954 and together they raised three children. She was a stay-at-home Mom whose devotion to her family was absolute. Together, Gladys and Herb enjoyed square dancing, bowling and curling. They were also avid travellers and travelled around Canada and the USA and spent as much time fishing and camping in Northern Saskatchewan as time and health would allow. They both spent countless hours watching their kids play numerous sports and Gladys was able to extend that love to her grandson's sports as well. She was an enthusiastic fan and you could always hear her in the bleachers. She will definitely be deeply missed and remembered by all that loved her and shared her life.
