The Queens County Museum is the South Shore home of Planter history. Holdings include extensive genealogical files dating to the immigration of settlers from Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1759-1760. Displays feature early settlement and life in colonial Nova Scotia. The museum is also an exhibit centre for local and travelling exhibits. Opened in 1995, the Thomas Raddall Research Centre houses the museum's archives.
