SCOTTS BAY.

Miss Carrie Lovett, of Pereaux, is visiting friends at this place.

Mr. Harmon Tupper has gone away for the summer. He will be greatly missed in the Lodge.

Mr. Nelson Tupper arrived on Friday last, with his new yacht, the Bertha B.

The R. W. Kinsman Company, ltd, is repairing their tug boat, Tourist. She will be ready for sea in a few days.

Quite a number of the people of this place have spent the past week hauling seaweed, which is used as fertilizer.

Mr. Josiah Huntly has gone to the United States.

Mr. J. E. Hennigar, of Canning, spent Sunday in this place, assisting in the services at the Union church.

Mr. Ernest McLennan shipped in the schr., Susan N., but was prevented from sailing by an accident, having been severely bitten in the face by a dog. Mr. Wyman Shaw took his place.

Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Tupper wish to express their thanks to the people of Scotts Bay for the kindness manifested during their recent bereavement.
