OBITUARY

Mrs. Constantine Gaul

There passed away at Western Kings Memorial Hospital at noon Sunday, November 14, Mrs. Constantine Gaul, following a long illness. Mrs. Gaul became seriously ill last spring and everything possible was done to relieve her suffering. For some time she was a patient in the Halifax Infirmary, later returning home and entering the hospital here.

Born at New Ross, Lunenburg County, on January 9, 1873, the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Boylan) Collins, she was in her 65th year. Following her marriage she resided for some time at East Dalhousie, and came to Berwick with her husband eighteen years ago. She was a good neighbor and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. She bore her sufferings with true Christian fortitude.

Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Elmore, of Toronto; Howard, of Rumford Maine; Bernard, at home and Weston, of Halifax; two daughters, Miss Helena, Montreal, and Miss Evelene, formerly of Halifax, both of whom were home during their mother’s last illness. Two sisters also survive, Miss Evelyn Collins, New Ross and Miss Josephine Collins, in Massachusetts.

The funeral took place this (Wednesday) morning at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, East Dalhousie.
