Miss B. A. Harding is attending the teachers’ institute at Digby.

Mr. W. H. Kilpatrick, of Bridgewater, was a guest at the Elm House on May 24th.

Dr. Smith, Optician, of Halifax, was in this village on May 23rd.

Mr. J. H. Charlton, of Springfield, was here this week putting up Page wire fence for Mr. Wright, the postmaster.

Mrs. E. Charlton, and Mrs. R. Weaver and son, of Falkland Ridge, spent May 24th the guests of Mrs. H. S. Taylor.

Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Durling, of Springfield, called on friends on their way from New Ross, where they attended the dedication of the new Baptist church on Sunday 21st May.

Mrs. M. Lonergan is quite sick.

Mr. J. A. Viner, of the Davison Lumber Company, spent Sunday in New Ross.

Superintendent J. W. Cross and wife and two boys; Miss Carrie Cross, and Mrs. C. Hebb, spent the 20th May at Camp No. 1.
