DALHOUSIE EAST.

Mr. James MacGowan departed this life on January 30th at the advanced age of eighty-two years. He has been for many years a citizen of this place. He leaves two sons and three daughters and three grand children to mourn their loss. His remains were interred in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. H. S. Taylor attended the horse race at Bridgewater on the 30th January.

The Rev. Mr. Gaetz, of Middleton, spent Sunday at Crosburne, preaching at Camp No. 2 in the afternoon and Camp No. 1, in the evening. These services were well attended.

Morton Maider, the young man that fell from the top of a loaded car last week, is slowly improving. He was removed from Camp No. 4 to his home in New Canada on January 29th.

Mrs. Redden and Mrs. Luke Gaul, of Kentville, attended their father’s funeral.

Mr. V. L. Wilson made a trip to Barss Corner this week.
