Harborville – Waterville Reunion In Boston

Editor The Register: -

A Harborville – Waterville Reunion was held at 407 Columbus Avenue, Boston, on Sunday evening, Sept. 30th, and you can bet your last cent that it was one big event. There were old Harborvillians from many parts of the United States, and it goes without saying that they had a great time. Most of them had not met since their school days on the North Mountain and they assuredly had one great visit. I dare not tell you all the stories they had to tell of those old days, because a family paper like The Register would not dare to print them. The first alarm at the outer door was caused by the arrival of a car from Florida that contained my side partner’s brother, Captain Melbourne Cook (formerly of Waterville), who got into the limelight when he successfully piloted a ship through the War Zone, at the height of the late war, and not satisfied with that had to fall off the roof of a neighbor’s house at Waterville, where he was supposed to be enjoying a holiday. Others of the party were: Mrs. Wallace Ogilvie, Harborville; Mr. Ford Ogilvie, Wollaston, Mass; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Perry, Needham, Mass.; Mr. and Mrs. Holden Kenneally, Oak Grove, Mass.; Miss Amanda Burns, Brookline, Mass.; Mr. and Mrs. Arch,. Beckwith, Auburndale, Mass.; Mrs. L. L. Montague, (a sister of Dr. W. T. Cook) Arlington, Oregon; Miss Winnie Doan, Somerville, Mass.; Mrs. Violet Burns, Boston, Mass.; Mr. Parker N. Gates, Middleton, N. S.; Mrs. Ingram Slocum, Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Jennie, Greatsinger (formerly Jennie Howell), Boston.
