Family Festival 2003
Each year Baltic Lodge participates in the annual multicultural festival arranged by Riverside Municipal Museum. This is a family oriented event, with crafts for children and ethnic exhibits. Our 2003 focus was trolls.
CRAFT ACTIVITY FOR CHILDREN The children were shown how to create their own trolls using corks, fun fur, cloth, sticks, wiggly eyes, pipe cleaners, marking pens and glue. |

Left: A booth visitor shows off his troll creations. Below: Young festival goers were given passports and had to answer a question at each booth in order to have the passport stamped. Our question was: Do trolls have tails? Pictures of trolls with tails were displayed to help the young "travelers" find out that the answer was yes |
|
and get their passports stamped. The young lady to the left in the picture below is holding her passport. (The string is so that the passport can be worn around the neck and not get lost.)

Our Troll Booth had between 100 and 200 young visitors, all eager to create their own trolls and keeping our volunteers busy. |

We had a variety of Scandinavian trolls on display, most of them handmade, as the ones to the left and right.
