- He married Mary Hoff, daughter of William Hoff and Abigail, at Monmouth Co., New Jersey, on 10 November 1763.4
- Alexander Clark died in 1825.1
- He was named in his father's will dated on 15 March 1777 apparently the eldest son, made an executor.5
- He was a Loyalist during the American Revolution and went to New Brunswick in 1783. His siblings remained in New Jersey and Alexander is not mentioned in his mother's 1795 will. She, however, did write her son in a letter dated 22 Sep 1800 which has survived, along with Alexander's Bible, and has aided in piecing together Alexander's family.1
