He enlisted again in the fall of 1780 and served three months as a private in Capt. Vance's Co. In March 1781 he served for six months as a private in Capt. Thomas Stokely's Penn. Regt. He was also in two campaigns against the Indians subsequent to 1787. He was granted a pension on his application executed 1 Oct 1832 while living three miles south of Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky. His widow, Rebecca Smith was allowed a pension based on her application filed 3 Sept. 1838 while a resident of Garrard Co., Kentucky, age 75. She was living in 1843 in Anderson Co., Kentucky.⁵
