Mrs. York is a native of Keswick (York Co) N.B. and her maiden name was Miss Brewer. She has three brothers living at Keswick. When the woman was arrested a ticket for Fredericton was found in her possession. The woman's first husband was named Mr. Gibson and shortly after her marriage some 30 years ago, they removed to California. She and a son visited this locality four years ago. It is thought the bulk of the money secured by Mrs. York was sent by draft to this city previous to her arrest.
