[1] When a small boy, John Breakey’s Uncle John Breakey, nicknamed “John Soople,” who had no family, said to him, “Come to the Mountain Meetinghouse with me and I will leave you all I possess.”  He did as his uncle wished and became a Covenanter.  For this reason, John Breakey and family attended Church in Creevagh Meetinghouse and the children were baptised by the Rev. Thomas Cathcart.  The original records are presently, 5 June 1968, in the possession of Elizabeth Martin Stewart, 228 Hamilton Road, Glasgow, Scotland.

[2] All but one of these children, the first Mary, lived to maturity and older.
