 Marvin didn't really want his photograph taken that day. He really, really
didn't want to wear that lace collar. But his parents, Jonathan and Martha insisted.Taken about 1900, in Gonzalas, Texas before the family moved to California, Marvin was about eight years old. He was born September 02, 1892. His father was Jonathan Crockett Beaty, b. August 30, 1850 in Saline Co., Missouri, d.January 28, 1927, in Azusa, CA. His mother was Martha Susan Jeanes, b. November 13, 1855 in Talladega, AL, d. March 10, 1939 in Venice, CA. Marvin moved with his parents to Azusa California where they operated the Azusa Bakery for many years.
