At twenty days sight pay this my first bill of exchange my second and third of the same tenor and date
not paid, pay or cause to be paid unto Benjamin Vesey or his order the sum of twenty seven pounds
tenn shillings currant money of Bermuda for value rec'ed in salt and charge the same to the acct of the brigg
Charming Mary by virtue of a letter credit on the account of Mr Thomas Osborn merchant St Eustatia
for Mr George Bascome merchant in Bermuda.

Know all persons to whom this present writing or instrument of protest may concern that this twenty eighth
day of December 1762 personally appeared before me William Popple Esquire, Governor, Commander in Chief,
Vice Admiral of these islands John Lewis Deputy Secretary of the said islands and solemnly made oath
on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that on the tenth day of this instant (at the request of Mr Benjamin Vesey)
exhibited the original above copyed bill to Mr George Bascome to whom the same is directed and demanded.
