Bermuda als Somer Islands

The deposition of Mary Vesie relict and widdow of Charles Vesie late of Warwick Tribe in these islands ___ and Derick Schrivers of Port Royall, pewterer ___ whoo being duly sworn and severally say as followeth viz.

The said Mary doth depose and say that about sixteen years ago her said husband Charles being then bound out to sea made his last will and testament and that Cornelius White made and wrote the same and she verily believes subscribed his name as a witness to the said will and that after the same was signed and sealed her said husband delivered the same to her ___ whoo then laid up the same and hath ever since had the said ___ will in her custody and never knew or heard that he her said husband amde any other will.

And the aforesaid Derick Schriivers doth depose and say that he very well knew the said Charles Vesie and hath heard him say that after his death he would not have his children fall out about his estate for it was shared and divided between all and every his said children. And further these deponents say not.

Sworn to before his excellency the Governor the 8th day of November 1705.

To Ensign Samuel Harvey, Mr William Harvey and Mr John Gobbs Jr or any two of them.

These are to authorize and impower you or any two of you to take an inventory or just account of all and singular the goods, chattles, rights, debts, and creditts and estate of Charles Vesie late of Warwick Tribe in these islands, planter and ___ and then faithfully to appraise and value upon oath your or any two of your hands into the Secretary's office in St Georges within fourteen days next ensuing the date of these presents in order to be recorded.

Given under my hand and seale this 8th day of November in the year 1705.
