In the name of God, Amen, I Abraham Vessey of the county of Bryan in the state
aforesaid, Mariner, being of sound mind, memory, discretion and understanding do make
and publish this to be my last will and testament.
Item: I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Joanna Vessey all that certain
lot of land with the buildings and improvements therein lying and being in the Island of
Bermuda, commonly called and known by the name of "the Crow Lane House" to have
and to hold the said lot of land with its appurtenances to my said wife for and during the
term of her natural life and from and after her death, I give, devise and bequeath the said
lot of land with its appurtenances aforesaid to my three nieces Sarah Crawford,
Nancy Crawford, and Fanny Crawford of the Island of Bermuda to have and
to hold the same to the said Sarah, Nancy, and Fanny as tenants in common and
not as joint tenants to them their heirs and assigns forever.
Item: I give, devise, and bequeath to my said dearly beloved wife Joanna Vessey all
that other certain lot of land with the buildings and improvements thereon, also lying and
being in the Island of Bermuda, commonly called and known by the name of the Salt
Kettle House, to have and to hold the said lot of land with its appurtenances, to my said
wife for and during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease, I give,
devise, and bequeath the said lot of land, with its appurtenances to my said nieces Sarah
Crawford, Nancy Crawford, and Fanny Crawford to have and to hold
the said lot of land to them the said Sarah, Nancy and Fanny as tenants in common
and not as joint tenants to them their heirs and assigns forever.
Item: I give and bequeath to my said wife the following negroe slaves to wit Hannah,
her female child Pussey, together with their future issue and increase and her two other
children Tom and Will to have and to hold the said negroe slaves for and during the
term of her natural life and from and after her death I order and direct that the said negroe
slaves Hannah, Pussey, with their increase Tom and Will may and shall be
manumitted and set free from slavery.
Item: I give and bequeath all my other negroes to wit Bob, Nero, Ben, Joe, Limas,
and Peter and also all my cash on hand , and all the residue and remainder of my estate
real, personal, or mixed to my said wife Joanna, my dearly beloved mother
Elizabeth Vessey and my said nieces Sarah Crawford, Nancy
Crawford and Fanny Crawford, to have and to hold the said negroes, cash, and
the said remainder and residue of my estate to the said Joanna, Elizabeth, Sarah,
Nancy and Fanny to them their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever
to be divided among them equally share and share alike and moreover I do by these
presents nominate, constitute, and appoint Robert Bollon and William
Belcher of the city of Savannah, in the said state of Georgia, Esquires, to be executors
to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness
whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred.
Signed, sealed, published and delivered by the above named Abraham Vessey to be
his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names
as witnesses in the presence of the said testator.

Personally appeared John Lawson Esq. one of the subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing last will and testament of Abraham Vesey, deceased, who being duly
sworn saith that he was present and did see the testator sign seal and publish and
pronounce the same to be and contain his last will and testament, and that he was of sound
mind at the time to the best of this deponent's belief and that William Brown and
George Troop(sp?) together with this deponent subscribed their names as witnesses
at the request and in the presence of the testator and of each other.

Mr Robert Bolton, Esq appeared and qualified to the foregoing will as __ __ __ __
