Deed between Benjamin Tucker, et al to John Wilkinson

This indenture made this 11th day of April in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and eighty three between Benjamin Tucker, John Tucker, & Henry Crofford Tucker of the County of Southampton and the state of Virginia of the one part and John Wilkinson of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Tucker, John Tucker, and Henry Crofford Tucker for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds Virginia currency to the said Benjamin Tucker, John & Henry Crofford Tucker in hand paid by the said John Wilkinson.... hath granted bargained sold alien enfeoffed and confirm unto the said John Wilkinson and to his heirs & assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances scituate lying and being in the county of Southampton and on the south side of Tarrors Creek containing by estimation four hundred and eighty five acres (twenty feet square excepted for a graveyard) be the same mor or less and bounded as followeth (vizt) beginning at the cypress by the side of the Tarraro Creek a corner John Edwards line thence along his line to a red oak thence the said line to a white oak thence along the said line to a pine in Lazaras Cooks line; thence to a gum in the marsh branch thence up the said branch to the quarter branch thence down the said branch to a gum in the said Wilkinson's line thence along said line to a red oak thence along the said line to a white oak thence along said line to another white oak a corner of the said Wilkinson's land, thence to a creek a corner of Thomas Pitman line, thence by the said Pitman's line to a pine a corner of Robert Bryant land thence along said Bryant's line to a gum by the side of Tarraro Creek thence down the various courses of the said run of the said Creek to the beginning which will more fully appear by a patent granted to Benjamin Tucker bearing date 20th day June 1749.... signed by Benjamin Tucker, John Tucker, and Henry C Tucker and witnessed by JohnWilkinson Junr, Simon Everitt, and James Wilkinson. At the court held for the county of Southampton the 14th day of August 1783. This indenture was partly proved by the oaths of John Wilkinson Junr and James Wilkinson two of the witnesses thereto and at a court held for the said county the 11th day of September 1783 the said indenture was fully proved by the oaths of Simon Everitt another witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
