Bermudas

In the name of God, Amen, I Perient Trott the elder of Hambleton Tribe in the Somer Islands al.s Bermudas in the parts of America Men:t being of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be given to Almighty God for the same but considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, doo make and ordeyne this my last will and testamen in manner and forme ffollowing.

Ffirst I bequeath my soul and spirit into the hands of the ever blessed God my mercifull Creator that made mee and inspired mee in the breath of life and of my blessed Lord recieved the same into the Armes of his mercy hopping and assuredly beleiving the salvation of my soul through the alone meritts of Jesus Christ my blessed saviour and my body I committ to the earth to be decently buried at the direction of my execut:rs herein after named. Being in full and certain hope of an resurrection to a glorious immortality in the great day of our saviours second coming to judge the world and for my real and personal estate wch it hath pleased God to bestow upon me in this world I doo order give and dispose oft the same as followeth... viz

Imp:s I will that my just debts and ffunerall expences shall be first paid and discharged.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my dear and well beloved wife Mary Trott all that my now dwelling house and the outhouses edifices and buildings (except my now store house w'th the appurtenances hereafter mentioned) and allow two shares of those three shares....

North side sea together with all such chests, drawers, coutions, chairs, and ___ty as shall thereunto belong att the home of my decease to hold to my said brothers and the survivors of them untill such time as my son Perient Trott shall attain the age of twenty two yeares and if he should happen to dye before hee attains the said age then I hold to my said brothers and the survivor of them for my said brothers, their agents factors and ___ in out and to the same dureing the time and terme aforesd. Butt whom my son the said Perient Trott shall attain the said age of twenty two years then I give and bequeath the same unto him the said Perient Trott, and to the heires of his body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to my daughter Eliz: Trott and to the heirs of her body lawfully begotten, and for default of such issue to my daughter Mary Trott and the heires of her body lawfully to be begotten and for want of such issue to the right heires of mee the said Perient Trott for ever.

Item. I give and devise unto my son Perient Trott and to the heires of his body lawfully to be begotten, one full moiety or half part of all those six shares or reputed six shares of land lying and and being in Pembroke Tribe in the said Islands now in the several occupations of John Beake Sen'r, Thomas Harvy Sen'r, Elizabeth Sears widdow, Richard Richardson, Edward Sears, and Soloman Bullard wch: said moyety or halfe part of the said six shares is the northern moiety in the middle of a line running easterly and westerly through the breadth of the said six shares. Alsoo I give and devise unto my said son Perient Trott and to the heires of his body lawfully to be begotten one moyety of my cvommon or __ land lying and ___ ___ ___ in Pembroke Tribe ___ and belonging ......

The part and parts belonging to my said children by virtue of the paragraphs of my will to be paid and delivered unto my son Perient Trott when hee shall attain the age of twenty two yeares, and to my daughters Elizabeth and Mary when they shall severally attain the age of twenty one yeares or be married which shall first happen, and my will and meaning further is that in case any of my said three children sahll dye before the times aforsd then the part or parts of him or her soo dying shall remain and come to the survivor or survivors of them.

Item. I do hereby revoke and renounce frustrate and make voyd all former wills and testaments by mee heretofore made and doo ordaine and appoint this to bee my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the first above named Perient Trott the elder to this my last will and testament cayned in five sheets of paper have to the bottom of each sheet sett my hand and to the top att the labell my seale dated the twenty third day of September in the second year of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lord and Ladfy William and Mary by the grace of God of England &c King and Queen Defenders of the ffaith &c Anno Domni 1690.

Signed sealed and declared by the above named Perient Trott as his last will and testament after these words (of the whole) in the fifth sheet was interlined in the psence off:
