In the name of God, Amen, I Samuel Peniston of Hamilton Tribe in the Island of Bermuda being weak in body but of perfect sense and memory, do make this my last will and testament.

First I recommend my soul to God, hoping for remission of my sins thru the death and passion of my redeemer Jesus Christ. After all my just debts being paid I give to my hearafter named children Samuel Peniston, Thomas Peniston, Nathaniel Peniston, John Peniston, Dorothy Stovel, wife of Samuel Stovel to them and their heirs all my estate reaul and personal, to Elizabeth Newbould, wife of Samuel Newbould ten shillings and the mohagana chest.

Item. I give to my daster (daughter?) Love Peniston the bedsted and cartings in purch chamber and the bed in the beck rooms and which I know lodge on and the seader chest commonly called hern.

Item. I give to my moletter man Peter four shilling to be paid out of every six days work dun by him during his life allways taking care that this be maid none into hoose hands he may fall into. I do hear by apinte my son Samuel Peniston, Thomas Peniston, Nathaniel Peniston, John Peniston, Samuel Stovel executors and Dorothy Stovel executrix as witness my hand wearof I have hearunto set my hand and maid my seal this twenty ninth day of July 1777.

By His Excellency William Browne Esquire, Governor and Ordinary of these islands.

I do hereby certify that this 9th day of February 1784 before me the Governor and Ordinary aforesaid personally came and appeared Mr John Jones Junr, one of the subscribing witnesses to the within instrument of writing who solemnly made oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, that he saw Samuel Peniston sign, seal and duly execute the same as and for his last will and testament, and that at the time thereof the testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of his, the deponent's judgement. And that he also saw Benjamin Harvy Junr. and Richardson Harvy subscribe their names as witnesses to the said will.

In testimony whereof I the Governor and Ordinary aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and seal at arms the day and year above written.
